Are the all-in-one computers from Acer dependable?

For the majority of users, the Acer Aspire C27 all-in-one computer is enough.

The best example of a dependable all-in-one computer is the Acer Aspire C27. The $1,299 Aspire C27 contains all the functionality you'll require to finish all of your everyday chores in a compact, sleek design that's meant to fit wherever you need it.

Thanks to its 27-inch Full HD IPS display, the Aspire C27 is ideal for the majority of customers, especially those who need a basic PC for activities like reading email, making online purchases, streaming video, and managing appointments and reminders.

However, you wouldn't use the Aspire C27 for activities that demand a lot of resources, like gaming or video editing. However, when it comes to routine tasks like web browsing and email checking, the Aspire C27 is a dependable computer that handles all of these tasks like a pro.

In less than five minutes, I had the Aspire C27 set up.

If you've ever plugged in a toaster, setting up this computer won't be difficult.

Because this is an all-in-one solution, there is only one monitor, a keyboard, and a mouse; there is no huge tower or other additional components that need to be put together. Now I'm done. If you simply plug the monitor into a power source and perform a basic power cycle, you should be up and running in no time.

That's it for now. The only additional setting required in Windows 11 is the creation of a new user profile. Other than that, setting up this PC is simple. The included keyboard and mouse will need batteries, which is probably important to mention.

If you've ever plugged in a toaster, setting up this computer won't be difficult.

The Aspire C27's 512GB NVMe M.2 solid-state hard drive is an important feature to note because it has a number of benefits, including incredibly quick loading times for games, apps, and movies.

More importantly, the C27 can boot to the home screen far quicker than a PC without an SSD disc. In other words, I was able to test the C27 as soon as I turned it on for the first time.

The Aspire C27's design makes it portable to any location.

Before we discuss the C27's performance, let's first focus on its design. The portability of a PC is typically the last thing that comes to mind. And the majority of them are not.

But the Aspire C27 breaks the mould. Because it just weighs 9 pounds, moving this PC around is relatively painless and requires little effort.

The gadget can be be moved to your favourite location by just unplugging it because there isn't a tower. Just don't forget to bring your wireless mouse and keyboard.

Whatever the available space, the Aspire C27 can fit almost anywhere. When it was being tested, it was sitting at my wife's desk. If there was such a thing as a 1960s newsroom, her desk would fit right in.

The display might stand to be improved.

Sincerity be damned, the C27 had one feature that I didn't think was particularly noteworthy. What about it, then? Thus, it makes sense. Given how accustomed I'd been to my MacBook's Liquid Retina XDR display, the Aspire C27's IPS panel took some getting used to.

The Aspire C27 comes with a 27-inch full HD IPS LED backlit screen. If you aren't too particular about how things look on a screen, you won't have any complaints. I didn't either once I got used to the difference.

However, you might see shadow effects on the display's border, which are typical on many laptops, if you have folks who are highly sensitive about colour. The majority of people won't find this to be a deal-breaker, though.

The webcam produces poor video, but that was to be expected.

You'll notice that the Aspire C27's 720p HD webcam is mentioned in a surprising amount of user evaluations. And, to be really honest, it's not that great. However, does it actually accomplish the task? It does, in fact. Do all-in-one PCs made by other PC manufacturers have better cameras? Undoubtedly, there will be a few, but they won't be the majority in 2022.

Even Apple just lately made the switch to more contemporary webcams. Given that all of Apple's laptops included 720-pixel HD webcams until 2021, it is not surprising that Acer is including them in its devices.

Sure, the C27's camera isn't the best, but most customers don't take it into account when buying a PC.

However, if having a high-quality webcam is something you really must have, there are always alternatives accessible. The camera performs its job and is undoubtedly not the worst option available. So, in my opinion, it's not a big deal.

Final thoughts on the Aspire C27

I have no reservations in endorsing the Aspire C27 as an excellent all-in-one computer. This rapid, portable gadget can handle all of your basic computing needs. If my mother ever needed a new computer, the Aspire C27 would be near the top of my list of suggestions.

So, whether you need it for the kitchen table or your home office, you won't have to worry about unplugging a tonne of wires or attachments.

It doesn't feel at all like a desktop computer, despite the fact that it is one. Therefore, if you don't like things on your desk getting cluttered, the C27 is something you won't have to worry about taking up too much space.
